Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
As a Maintenance Mechanic you will perform root-cause analysis and analytical problem solving on a large variety of equipment including CNC Machines. You will troubleshoot mechanical and basic electrical systems to maintain and repair equipment. You will be responsible for all machines, equipment, the building, and grounds.COMPETENCIES

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Responsible for the design, modification, adaptation, installation, improvement, optimization and maintenance of equipment, controls, and facilities.
- Routinely inspects and maintains building and installed systems.
- Assists with the installation and modification of building equipment systems.
- Acts as agent for procurement of service contracts/repair work; assist with purchase of many facility fixtures and equipment.
- Acts as an agent for the procurement of service specifically related to chemical delivery and removal.
- Works closely with management and outside consultants for the monitoring and delivery of regulatory requirements (Federal, State, County and City).
- Works as a point of contact with local emergency management teams on alarm systems and response.
- Responds in a timely fashion to problems related to facility maintenance and repair.
- Makes recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities.
- Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
- Is an active participant in the company Health and Safety Committee
- Prepares required reports and correspondence. Maintains all equipment logs for degreaser and Anhydrous Ammonia system.
- Operates material handling equipment and mobile elevating platforms in accordance with operational requirements.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Three to five years related experience or equivalent.
- Knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, industrial maintenance, and other generally accepted maintenance skills.
- Knowledge of all types of hand, power and pneumatic tools, machine shop tools and cutters, manual and CNC machine tools, heat treat equipment, etc.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints, diagrams, and technical repair manuals.
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- Ability to perform the physical labor necessary.
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions.
- Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees.
- Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions.
- Solid English language skills both written and oral.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within a constantly changing environment and daily schedule.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.READING SKILLS
Ability to read, write and comprehend materials in English.REASONING ABILITY
