Maintenance Floor Care

Job Overview This position involves traveling to various residential and commercial locations to provide floor care and related services. Candidates must have reliable transportation, preferably a truck or van, to carry equipment and supplies. Duties Perform comprehensive cleaning of all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness and safety standards Execute detailed carpet cleaning procedures using appropriate equipment to remove stains and embedded dirt Buff and polish floors to restore shine and enhance durability, ensuring a polished appearance at all times Conduct routine inspections of flooring areas to identify wear, damage or maintenance needs and report issues promptly Use environmentally friendly cleaning products and techniques to promote sustainability within the facility Maintain janitorial supplies inventory, restock materials as needed, and ensure equipment is properly maintained for optimal performance Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with health regulations Requirements Proven experience in commercial cleaning, custodial work, or environmental services with a focus on floor care Knowledge of various cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, buffing, stripping, sealing, and waxing floors Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, extractors, vacuums, and carpet cleaners effectively Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify areas needing special attention or repair Excellent time management skills to complete daily tasks efficiently within scheduled hours Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy equipment or supplies, and perform repetitive motions throughout the shift Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a tangible difference every day!
