Responsibilities Perform thorough cleaning of floors across various surfaces including tile, hardwood, carpet, and vinyl using appropriate cleaning tools and solutions Buff and polish floors to restore shine and enhance appearance, ensuring a professional look at all times Maintain cleanliness of common areas by sweeping, mopping, and spot-cleaning as needed throughout the facility Follow established janitorial and custodial protocols to uphold health standards and safety regulations Use environmentally friendly cleaning products whenever possible to promote sustainability within the workplace Assist with routine maintenance tasks related to flooring care and report any damages or issues promptly for repair Qualifications Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred, especially in commercial or institutional settings Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and carpet cleaning methods Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers, extractors, and vacuum cleaners effectively Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety guidelines Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment throughout shifts A proactive attitude towards environmental practices and sustainable cleaning methods Join us in creating clean, safe environments that leave lasting positive impressions!
