Summary Join our team as a Maintenance Technician II and play a key role in keeping our operations running at peak performance. In this role, you will install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and rebuild production machinery, as well as automated and electrical systems, to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. You will also perform preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement across the facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled technician who enjoys hands-on problem solving, working with advanced equipment, and making a direct impact on operational success. Principal Essential Duties & Responsibilities type="disc
- -Perform a broader range of duties, more technically complex tasks, expected to set an example of professional efficiency, demonstrates a higher degree of independence, and may occasionally provide technical direction to less experienced maintenance staff. type="disc
- -Provide equipment maintenance, interventions, and repairs, and conducts preventive machinery maintenance. type="disc
- -Perform intermediate level troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment. type="disc
- -Provide Operators with support around machine overall equipment reliability. type="disc
- -May assist in troubleshooting equipment set up and production changeovers. type="disc
- -Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner. Recognize and report unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations. type="disc
- -Maintain work records and prepare clear and concise oral and written reports. type="disc
- -Understand and follow all safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds the standards. type="disc
- -Utilize appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize and withstand exposure to chemicals, dust, and mechanical and electrical hazards. type="disc
- -Learn and observe all safety precautions as required. type="disc
- -Work all required work schedules. Day travel to nearby locations is sometimes required. Minimum Education and Experience type="disc
- -High School Diploma or equivalent. type="disc
- -3•5 years experience in Industrial Maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on Mechanical and Electrical Equipment, and/or equivalent military experience.
- -Intermediate Proficiency in Hydraulics, Mechanics, Electrical, Welding and Rigging. Commitment to Continuous Learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise. type="disc
- -Must be able to demonstrate/achieve and maintain Maintenance Tech II proficiency within 10 months of hire. Preferred Education and Experience type="disc
- -2-yr Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance. Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors type="disc
- -Sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead and/or at shoulder level, lifting (50 lbs.) and/or repetitive tasks throughout the day. type="disc
- -Position requires occasional moving to other offices or buildings. type="disc
- -May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.
When in a plant environment:
type="disc- -Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces. type="disc
- -May be exposed to temperatures of 28 degrees to 100 degrees Fahrenheit with both ambient and 100% humidity. type="disc
- -May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit. type="disc
- -May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 db to 110 db. type="disc
- -May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, and a processing plant.
