Maintenance Technician

Job Title:

Maintenance Technician Pay:

35-45 an hour

Second Shift :

3pm-11pm (open to flexibility if needed) Located in Ladson, working with a company who plays a role in manufacturing airplanes

Job Summary :

The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance repairs for assigned equipment and machinery in a manufacturing environment.

Reports To :

Maintenance Leader Duties and Responsibilities:

Performs monthly preventative maintenance to ensure facility equipment are operating properly Performs general repairs to equipment that do not require a specialized technician. Inspects and identifies equipment in need of repair Maintains and orders inventory of maintenance supplies Consults with machinists and inspectors to follow up with maintenance requests Performs other duties as assigned Performs general maintenance. Repair work on machines and buildings Disassemble and assemble machines to determine conditions. Diagnose trouble. Made and replace worn parts. Construct new machines. Install air lines, water lines. Install general electrical wiring and motors.

Required Skills and Abilities :

High School Diploma Mechanical in automotive, machine repair, service technician and basic machining on drill press and lathe. Work in a safe manner at all times, alerting management of hazardous conditions. Assure satisfactory levels of cleanliness and housekeeping in all assigned areas. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written and verbal, and organizational skills. Assure Confidentiality of proprietary or sensitive information. This individual must be level headed, self-motivated, safety conscious and able to work with minimum supervision in a team environment. Ability to perform general mechanical and light repair tasks on machinery, equipment and building facilities Ability to follow instructions from maintenance workers and maintenance leads Capable of using API for scheduling and signing off maintenance tasks Electrical maintenance knowledge utilizing a volt-ohmmeter Ability to read/write/speak English Ability to use hand tools and power tools Excellent time management skills

Hazardous Materials Certification Education and Experience Requirements :

Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED 1-4 years maintenance experience preferred

Physical Demands :

Must be able to move/lift 50lbs throughout the day. Must be able to operate forklift/lift carts. Prolonged periods of standing, bending, and walking Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, and crawl into awkward spaces.

Working Conditions :

Works in a controlled climate. Occasional outdoor work required. Small amounts of machine noise. Works around hazardous chemicals. PPE required and provided by company. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ladson, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
