Facility Maintenance Technician - Institutional/Campus

Skillforce is hiring a multi-trade Facility Maintenance Technician for a busy institutional campus in the Columbia, SC area. The work is a mix of light handyman repairs across an active site —replacing lights and ballasts, swapping HVAC filters on PM rotations, patching and finishing drywall, re-keying doors and replacing hardware, and handling the steady fix-it list a working campus generates each day. First shift, Monday through Friday. Pay and Schedule $25-$30/hr W-2, based on experience 1st shift, Monday-Friday Weekly pay Responsibilities Replace interior lights, ballasts, and bulbs Swap HVAC filters on PM rotations Patch, sand, and repair drywall Re-key and replace door locks, hinges, and closers Handle daily handyman repairs across an active campus Qualifications 3+ years multi-trade facility maintenance, commercial handyman, or building maintenance experience (service techs, apartment maintenance, and institutional FM all welcome) Comfortable with basic electrical, basic plumbing, drywall, and door hardware Reliable transportation to the Charleston, SC area Must pass a pre-employment background check Must supply your own standard
