What You'll Do
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on industrial equipment within a recycling yard, including conveyors, processing machinery, belts, bearings, gearboxes, and related systems Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components to identify root causes and minimize downtime Conduct maintenance and repairs on conveyor systems, including belt tracking, pulleys, rollers, motors, reducers, and guards Assist with installation, setup, alignment, and calibration of new or repaired equipment used in recycling and material-handling operations Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to ensure reliability and efficiency of recycling yard equipment Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work orders, service logs, inspections, and parts usage Ensure compliance with company safety policies, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and environmental standards specific to recycling operations Collaborate with operations, production, and engineering teams to quickly resolve equipment issues and support continuous yard operations What You'll Need
Strong mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting skills in an industrial or recycling environment Hands-on experience maintaining conveyors, rotating equipment, belts, bearings, gearboxes, motors, and material-handling systems Knowledge of industrial maintenance tools, equipment, welding basics (preferred), and safety procedures Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints Basic computer skills for work orders, maintenance tracking, and reporting Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and organizational skills Ability to work independently in a recycling yard environment or collaboratively as part of a maintenance team Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to regulatory and environmental standards 2-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or recycling environment Experience with automated or computerized industrial equipment preferred A complete set of tools (Metric and Standard) to perform general repair task Your Education
