Job Description

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with routine preventive maintenance on production equipment, including ovens, mixers, conveyors, and packaging machines
  • Support troubleshooting efforts on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems under the guidance of senior technicians
  • Respond to equipment issues and assist in diagnosing and resolving minor faults
  • Help with equipment changeovers, setups, and startups to meet production demands
  • Perform basic repairs such as replacing sensors, belts, motors, and other components
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, tools, and parts inventory
  • Accurately complete basic maintenance documentation and work orders in CMMS (training provided)
  • Follow all food safety (GMP), safety, and company policies at all times
  • Participate in training programs to develop technical skills and advance within the maintenance team
  • Assist with installation and setup of new equipment as needed Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Technical school training (industrial maintenance, mechatronics, electrical, or related field) preferred but not required
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions Preferred Qualifications
  • Internship, co-op, or hands-on experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or a related field
  • Exposure to electrical systems, motors, sensors, or PLCs (classroom or practical)
  • Familiarity with food manufacturing or sanitation practices Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift to 50 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working in hot, cold, and wet environments
  • Ability to climb ladders and perform physically active tasks Work Environment
  • Fast-paced food manufacturing facility with exposure to temperature extremes (hot ovens and refrigerated areas)
  • Requires strict adherence to food safety and sanitation standards
  • May require overtime, weekends, and flexible scheduling based on production needs Growth Opportunity This position offers a clear path for advancement into higher-level maintenance roles.

Pay:
From $22.00 per hour
