Job Description

PURPOSE:
To coordinate all operations on the Dye Floor and to ensure only first quality fabric gets processed though the dye floor process.
DUTIES:
Including, but not limited to: Follow and abide by all plant and area safety rules. Get a rundown on every machine, its status, its operating conditions, its scheduling status and any problems if applicable from the previous shift. Load and unload all dye machines in a timely manner in order to minimize downtime. Verify that the lot # on the load chart, Qdocs screen, and set ticket match. Verify conformance to the required specifications. Monitor jets throughout the cycle. Report any tangle or mechanical opportunities to service area coordinator or PPI. Complete all documentation including, dye floor log books, tangle reports, process routing, lot #'s on each end of fabric, lean board, and white cards. Set up machine to correct specs and verify that the turnover times are correct in the jets. Set up machine for cleanups following safety and setup specs.. Patch all lots at unload and take patches to service area, place in spinner. Sew good seams and initial each one. Write the lot on ends of the fabric. Verify direction is correct to the next process. Place OK/reject card on each lot and place in appropriate area. Maintain housekeeping in superior condition, this includes box alignment, hosing the floor down, picking up all trash and fabric waste, etc. •This position is for 3rd shift•
