Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and motivated Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have experience in mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair in a manufacturing environment. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment, reducing downtime, and supporting our production goals.
Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on machinery and equipment used in the production of reinforced concrete pipe and precast products. Troubleshoot mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime. Replace parts and components such as motors, gears, belts, bearings, and seals. Ensure that all machinery is properly calibrated and operating within safety and efficiency standards. Work with the team to conduct preventive maintenance programs and maintain accurate maintenance records. Assist with installation, setup, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment as needed. Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Respond to emergency repair requests and assist in critical breakdowns.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred). Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems is a plus. Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in an industrial environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy components and working with industrial machinery.
