Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-4:30

PM Overtime:

Occasional Saturdays as needed

Pay:

$25

If you enjoy hands‑on mechanical work and want a steady 1st‑shift schedule, this is a great opportunity to join a stable manufacturing operation in Mitchell. You'll be the go‑to person keeping production and packaging equipment running safely and efficiently—without rotating shifts or constant on‑call work. What You'll Be Doing Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems on production and packaging equipment Perform preventive maintenance on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, belts, chains, and related systems Diagnose breakdowns quickly to minimize downtime and keep production moving Assist with equipment installs, upgrades, and improvements Work closely with production teams to address equipment issues Document maintenance work and follow all safety procedures Support occasional weekend maintenance when needed What We're Looking For 1+ year of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting (hands‑on mechanical experience or strong personal/mechanical considered) Solid understanding of mechanical systems (bearings, sprockets, hydraulics, pneumatics, etc.) Ability to read equipment manuals and mechanical drawings Basic electrical troubleshooting is a plus, not a requirement Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production environment What's In It for You Competitive hourly pay based on your experience Consistent 1st‑shift schedule with predictable hours Long‑term stability in a manufacturing environment Team‑oriented culture with a strong focus on safety Opportunity to grow your mechanical skill set over time Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Mitchell, SD.
