Job Description

Maintenance Technician Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the seamless operation of our facility. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment, as well as executing preventative maintenance programs. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with expertise in mechanical, electrical, and industrial maintenance. Maintenance Technician Duties and/or
Responsibilities:
Maintenance & Repairs:
Respond to and complete maintenance requests in a timely manner, prioritizing based on urgency.
Preventative Maintenance:
Develop and execute scheduled maintenance programs to reduce downtime and extend equipment life.
Equipment Troubleshooting:
Diagnose and repair plant machinery, including press brakes, conveyors, blasters, compressors, and blow mold machines.
Electrical & Control Systems:
Inspect, repair, or replace components such as switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, push buttons, contactors, and motor starters.
HVAC Maintenance:
Perform routine HVAC maintenance, including replacing filters and cleaning coils.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, including repairs performed in-house and by external contractors.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow and enforce safety, health, and environmental standards to maintain a secure work environment.
Special Projects:
Support special maintenance projects and initiatives as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
Vendor Coordination:
Oversee and coordinate work performed by external contractors to ensure quality and compliance with company standards.
Maintenance Technician Education &Experience:
Education:
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (required). Associate's Degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance (preferred).
Experience:
4+ years of maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment. Strong expertise in hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial systems . Experience with PLC systems and HVAC maintenance is highly desirable.
Maintenance Technician Skills & Abilities:
Highly motivated and able to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in mechanical and electrical systems. Excellent organizational and time-management abilities. Physical capability to lift and move objects weighing up to 75 lbs consistently. Maintenance Tech
