Maintenance Technician works within the Maintenance Department, controls the efficient operation of all plant equipment by performing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic repair and preventive maintenance.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes Conduct preventative maintenance on all plant equipment. Uses basic plumbing, mechanical and general facilities and building maintenance knowledge as needed. Complete assigned work orders correctly and professionally. Utilize the lock out tag out program. Trouble-shoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures. Performs plumbing and pipe fitting as needed. Maintains work area in a safe and orderly fashion according to GMP and Safety guidelines. Operates Rich's SCADA system and completes appropriate paperwork. Trains new Maintenance Department Associates and team members as needed. Will be required to work with and train operations Associates on basic equipment troubleshooting and assist operations as needed with production. Performs any other related miscellaneous duties assigned by Team Leader.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Must have High School Diploma or GED/equivalent education with 1-3 years experience in manufacturing (food processing preferred)Must have general mechanical knowledge and electrical knowledge as demonstrated by passing an internal testMust have basic plumbing and general facilities/building maintenance knowledgeMust have good communication skills, both written and verbalMust have the ability to train other Associates in Maintenance operationsMust have the desire and ability to operate as a member of a Self-Directed work teamMust be proficient on Rich's SCADA systemHas an awareness of and the ability to follow Associate Safety guidelinesHas an awareness of and the ability to follow GMP and Food Safety guidelinesUnderstands proper machine operating and adjusting proceduresMust have the ability to work in and contribute to Production Improvement, Associate Involvement Rich Products Corporation, its subsidiaries and affiliates ("Rich's"), are committed to a policy of Equal Employment Opportunity standing up for fairness and maintaining a culture of belonging, to provide an exceptional experience for all.
