Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This energetic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance tasks across the property, from electrical and mechanical repairs to HVAC system management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for guests and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the guest experience by ensuring all hotel systems function efficiently and reliably. Duties Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical circuits, plumbing, and mechanical equipment to ensure optimal operation. Troubleshoot and repair issues related to hydraulics, electrical systems (including high voltage), and mechanical components using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters. Operate specialized equipment such as scissor lifts, industrial lifts, and other field service tools to access hard-to-reach areas safely. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for scheduling, tracking repairs, and inventory management. Perform welding (including <

> welding if applicable) and fabrication tasks to repair or modify equipment and structural components. Assist with the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing or building automation systems. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations. Collaborate with technical sales teams when necessary to specify or recommend parts, systems, or upgrades that improve facility performance. Adhere strictly to safety protocols related to high voltage electrical work, low voltage systems, and industrial mechanics to maintain a safe working environment for all staff. Skills Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities or large-scale hotel environments with a focus on industrial maintenance. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), hydraulics, and electrical wiring—both low voltage and high voltage. Proficiency with schematics, technical drawings, and troubleshooting manuals essential for diagnosing complex issues. Hands-on experience with industrial electrician work, including the use of ammeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools. Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance planning and record-keeping. Ability to operate field service equipment such as scissor lifts safely and efficiently. Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing problems quickly and implementing effective solutions.
