Handyman Helper / Apprentice Technician (Part-Time) Join Local Handyman of the Mid-South and build real-world trade skills while working alongside experienced technicians in the field. We are seeking a dependable, motivated, and hard-working individual to join our team as a Part-Time Handyman Helper / Apprentice Technician. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to learn practical trade skills, and is interested in growing into a higher-level technician role over time. You do not need to know everything on day one. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a positive attitude. This position provides approximately 20 hours per week initially , with opportunities for additional hours as workload and business demand increase.

Typical work schedule:

Monday-Friday, approximately 8:00 AM-6:00 PM Major holidays off

Starting Pay:

$20.00 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

Assist experienced technicians on residential and light commercial job sites Help set up and clean up work areas Load, unload, organize, and transport tools and materials Retrieve supplies and run occasional errands to Lowe's, Home Depot, and local suppliers Assist with basic repair and installation tasks under supervision Take before-and-after project photos and upload project information into company systems Support technicians with painting, carpentry, assembly, drywall, installations, and general handyman tasks Communicate professionally with homeowners and customers when necessary Maintain safe work practices and follow company safety procedures on all job sites

What We're Looking For:

Dependable and punctual Strong work ethic and willingness to learn Positive attitude and coachable mindset Comfortable working with your hands and using basic tools Reliable transportation Valid driver's license Current auto insurance Authorized to work in the United States Comfortable using smartphones and mobile apps for communication, photos, and work documentation Ability to safely lift approximately 50 pounds Ability to climb ladders and perform physical work indoors and outdoors throughout the day Helpful but

Not Required:

Prior experience with construction, maintenance, assembly, landscaping, painting, or general labor Familiarity with basic hand and power tools

This position includes a 90-day introductory period intended to provide training, feedback, and ensure a strong mutual fit.
