Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Garage Door Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of garage doors and related hardware. This role requires a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work independently in various environments. Perform heavy lifting and maneuvering of garage door components. Utilize power tools safely and effectively for installation and repairs. Read blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate installations. Conduct electrical work related to garage door systems as needed. Weld components when required for custom installations or repairs. Install fixtures and cabinets associated with garage door systems. Execute frame carpentry tasks to ensure proper fit and function of doors. Fabricate parts as necessary for unique installations or repairs. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding services performed. Experience 2 years Garage Door experience required Proven experience in heavy lifting and physical labor is essential. Familiarity with door hanging techniques is highly desirable. Proficiency in using power tools safely is required. Experience in reading blueprints or technical drawings is preferred. Background in electrical work related to garage doors is a plus. Welding skills are beneficial for certain installation tasks. Knowledge of fixture installation techniques will be advantageous. Experience in cabinet installation can enhance service offerings. Frame carpentry experience is valuable for ensuring structural integrity during installations. Fabrication skills will be considered an asset in this role.
