Position Summary The Selection Mechanic is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment in support of continuous manufacturing operations. This role ensures equipment reliability through preventive and corrective maintenance while adhering to all safety, quality, and operational standards. The mechanic works within a fast-paced production environment and plays a key role in minimizing downtime and supporting overall production efficiency. This position is for our B-Shift! Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair production machines and department equipment to ensure continuous operation. Perform emergency and unscheduled repairs of production equipment during operations. Conduct scheduled maintenance repairs during planned downtime or service periods. Perform basic machinist duties as required to support maintenance activities. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance tasks. Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair defective parts, and test equipment to ensure proper functionality. Perform routine preventative maintenance on machines, equipment, and facility systems. Use hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment as needed. Identify faulty operations, defective materials, or abnormal conditions and report them to leadership. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with company standards. Comply with all OSHA and company safety policies and procedures. Perform all other duties as assigned to support maintenance operations and production efficiency. Qualifications 1-year prior maintenance or mechanical experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Associate degree (AA) in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial systems preferred. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must be available for on-call work due to 24/7 operational needs.
