Part-Time Janitor (Floor Scrubber Operator)

The Part-Time Janitor (Floor Scrubber Operator) is primarily responsible for operating and maintaining industrial floor scrubber equipment to ensure all production and common areas are clean, safe, and presentable. This position supports facility cleanliness standards by performing routine custodial duties, with a strong emphasis on mechanized floor cleaning. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work independently during assigned shifts. Responsibilities

• Operate ride-on and/or walk-behind floor scrubber equipment to clean and maintain plant floors and designated areas.
• Inspect, maintain, and perform basic troubleshooting of floor scrubber equipment.
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs
• Make adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Assist with seasonal duties such as snow shoveling and entryway maintenance.
• Follow all health and safety regulations Skills Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred.

Experience operating industrial floor scrubber equipment strongly preferred. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and safe handling procedures. Familiarity with Safety Data Sheets (SDS). Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
