Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tooling - Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in tool & Die maintenance and be adept at troubleshooting and repairing tools, molds, and dies. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks. The Tooling - Maintenance Technician will work closely with other team members to uphold high standards of safety and quality. Responsibilities Maintain and repair production tooling, dies, molds, jigs, fixtures, and related equipment. Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding for tooling repair, fabrication, structural repairs, and equipment modifications. Fabricate tooling components, brackets, guards, and machine supports as needed. Troubleshoot mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic electrical issues related to tooling systems. Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on tooling and production equipment. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and tooling specifications. Support production during equipment breakdowns and tooling failures. Assist with die changeovers, setup adjustments, and tooling alignment. Operate machining equipment such as mills, lathes, grinders, drill presses, plasma cutters, torches, and welding equipment. Work closely with Maintenance, Engineering, and Production teams to improve tooling reliability and efficiency. Document repairs, modifications, and maintenance activities in
CMMS/IFS
systems. Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards, company policies, and quality requirements. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives including downtime reduction and process optimization. Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for tooling-related issues. Qualifications Proven experience in tooling maintenance or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to work with various tools and equipment. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English. Experience in manufacturing environments is advantageous. A strong commitment to safety standards and practices.
