This role combines utility locating, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and field service work. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with mechanical aptitude, utility maintenance experience, construction field experience, or individuals looking to build a long-term career within the wastewater and utility industry. Key Responsibilities Utility Line Locating Perform underground utility line locates in accordance with Tennessee 811 guidelines Accurately identify and mark underground infrastructure Maintain records related to locate requests and completed work Wastewater System Operations & Maintenance Operate, maintain, and repair pumps, motors, valves, and related wastewater equipment Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform corrective maintenance Monitor system performance, operating conditions, gauges, and meters Assist with collection system maintenance and repairs Field Service & Inspections Perform tank inspections and routine site visits Respond to service calls and maintenance requests Conduct preventive maintenance activities at treatment and collection system facilities Identify and report operational issues and equipment concerns Documentation & Compliance Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records Follow safety procedures and operational standards Support regulatory compliance and operational reporting requirements Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Ability to perform physical work, including lifting and equipment handling Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications Experience in wastewater, utilities, construction, maintenance, plumbing, or related industries Experience performing utility locates or underground infrastructure work Familiarity with pumps, motors, valves, and mechanical systems Wastewater Collection Systems or BNS License (or willingness to obtain within one year) Key Skills Utility locating Mechanical troubleshooting Equipment maintenance and repair Preventive maintenance Safety compliance Field operations Recordkeeping and documentation Customer service and communication Ideal Candidate Team-oriented and dependable Goal-driven with a strong work ethic Customer-focused and professional Comfortable working independently in field environments Interested in long-term growth within utilities and wastewater operations
Compensation & Benefits Starting Pay:
