Maintenance Mechanic Job Description The Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of industrial equipment. This includes performing preventative and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring constant operation of converting equipment and lines. Involvement in manufacturing process improvement initiatives and executing repairs with technical solutions is essential. The role requires proficiency with precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters. Responsibilities Perform maintenance on all industrial equipment including conveyors, photo eye sensors, packaging equipment, labelers, and cappers. Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on all equipment. Troubleshoot equipment to determine issues and implement solutions. Ensure constant operation of converting equipment and lines. Participate in manufacturing process improvement initiatives. Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, dial indicators, and multimeters. Essential Skills Experience in maintenance, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Proficiency in conveyor maintenance and working with motors. 1+ years of industrial maintenance experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and 3-phase motors. Comfortable with changeovers, setups, fillers, pumps, and valves. Additional Skills & Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Prefer 3+ years working in a GMP environment. Computer proficiency in MS Office. Minimum 5 years related manufacturing experience in an FDA facility preferred. 3 years experience in a non-FDA facility acceptable. Previous experience in GMP or Food Manufacturing is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Smyrna, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
