In this role, you will be the backbone of our facility operations, ensuring that every guest enjoys a safe, comfortable, and functional environment. You will work closely with management and housekeeping to address immediate repairs while also focusing on the long-term upkeep of our guest rooms and common areas. Key Responsibilities The primary focus of this position involves performing routine technical and preventative maintenance throughout the hotel property. You will spend your day diagnosing and repairing issues related to guest room equipment, plumbing, electrical fixtures, and basic HVAC systems. Beyond reactive repairs, you are responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal of the hotel by managing drywall repairs, painting, and basic carpentry projects. You will also oversee the exterior of the property, including pool maintenance, parking lot upkeep, and ensuring all safety lighting is operational. Collaboration is essential, as you will prioritize work orders based on guest needs and communicate progress to the front desk and management teams throughout your shift. Qualifications The ideal candidate possesses a strong mechanical aptitude and a diverse background in general building trades. We are looking for individuals who have prior experience in facilities maintenance, construction, or a related field, preferably within a commercial or hospitality setting. You must demonstrate a solid understanding of basic plumbing, electrical work, and appliance repair. Because this role involves frequent interaction with our guests, excellent interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor are required. Physical stamina is a necessity, as you must be able to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and remain on your feet for extended periods. A valid drivers license and the ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends or emergencies, are highly preferred.
