A "Make Ready" maintenance technician's job is to prepare vacant apartments for new residents. This involves cleaning, repairing, and painting, ensuring the unit is in move-in ready condition. The technician performs a variety of tasks to restore the unit to its market-ready status, including painting, cleaning, basic repairs, and grounds keeping.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensuring all vacant apartments are thoroughly cleaned, repaired, and ready for new residents. Performing light repairs, such as fixing leaky faucets, changing light bulbs, and patching holes in walls. Painting walls, cleaning fixtures, and addressing any necessary cleaning tasks. Replacing or repairing appliances, changing locks, and ensuring the unit has functioning entry locks. Completing checklists, paperwork, and other administrative tasks related to the make-ready process. Performing basic grounds keeping tasks like trash pick up, pressure washing and other exterior maintenance. Providing a positive and helpful experience for residents and vendors.
