Job Description

Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for general preventative maintenance, repairs, service work, and troubleshooting malfunctions of equipment daily in a designated territory.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
    None Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
    • Responds to service calls dispatched in assigned territory.
    • Uses tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
    • Maintains and repairs beverage equipment such as Fountain units, FBD/FCB units, Coffee/Custom Café units, Cappuccino units.
    • Maintains and repairs food equipment such as roller grills, bun warmers, fryolators, etc.
    • Performs light plumbing to include clearing clogged drains, toilets, etc.
    • Performs light electrical construction.
    • Changes gas hoses and nozzles as needed.
    • Records and manages maintenance and repair work performed and work orders on service software.
    • Tracks inventory and parts used at each site.
    • Maintains the designated company vehicle to ensure it is clean, organized, and stocked.
    • Manages non-billable time such as meetings, truck maintenance and callbacks.
    • Attends and participates in professional group meetings; maintain awareness of developments in the field of facility maintenance.
    • Assists all members of maintenance when needed.
    • Assists with store openings and closings.
    • Maintains the construction of new buildings and installs new equipment in stores.
    • Supports and facilitates organizational changes, continuous improvement and communication.

    • Experience with MS Office suite; intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel preferred.
    • Participates in the on- call rotation.
    • Irregular hours and weekends will be required according to the needs of the business.
    • Possess a valid state-issued Driver's License with a clean driving record
    Education & Experience:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Experience in HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance
    • Experience in refrigeration repairs and preventative maintenance
    • Experience in plumbing repairs a plus
    • Experience in cosmetic repairs a plus
    Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk/hear, push/pull, climb, bend/stoop, crouch/kneel/crawl, taste/smell, balance, twist/reach, carry, grasp with hands, squat, and drive.
    Lifting Requirements:
    Lift up to 50lbs daily and 50-100lbs on occasion.
      Hearing Requirements:
      Ability to hear alarms, communication equipment, verbal instructions, and machinery.
        Cognitive Requirements:
        Basic reading, writing and math skills. Basic or Complex speech skills; must be able to speak, read, write & understand the English language, clerical tasks, memorization, analytical skills, function under stress & make independent decisions.
          Vision Requirements:
          General vision requirements in addition to close vision ( 20 feet), color vision and peripheral vision.
