Junior maintenance technician

Education & Experience:

1. High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training in manufacturing, mechanics, or a related field is a plus. 2. Previous experience in a manufacturing, production, or machine operation environment preferred. 3. Basic understanding of mechanical systems and equipment functionality. Bilingual (English and Spanish or Spanish only)

Technical Skills:

1. Ability to operate and monitor production machinery safely and efficiently. 2. Familiarity with standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality control standards. 3. Basic troubleshooting skills to assist with resolving mechanical and process-related issues. 4. Experience with or ability to learn the use of hand tools, diagnostic tools, and calibration equipment. 5. Capability to perform routine maintenance tasks and assist with preventive maintenance activities. Responsibilities of position 1. Operate and monitor production machinery in accordance with standards operating procedures (SOPs). 2. Perform basic equipment setup, changeovers, and adjustments as needed. 3. Conduct routine maintenance checks and report issues or malfunctions. 4. Assist with troubleshooting mechanical or process- related problems under the guidance of senior technicians or engineers. 5. Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all safety protocols and procedures. 6. Accurately record production data, logs, or quality checks. 7. Support quality control processes, including inspecting finished products for defects or inconsistencies.

Technical Support Duties:

1. Assist in preventive maintenance task under supervision. 2. Help with equipment calibration or basic repairs. 3. Use hand tools or diagnostic equipment to support machine functionality. 4. Provide feedback to the maintenance or engineering team about recurring issues.

Other duties may include:
