Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation and optimal performance of manufacturing equipment and systems. This role involves assisting with preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and performing repairs. You will conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment according to schedules and procedures, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and failures, and implement corrective actions to restore equipment functionality. Responsibilities Conduct preventive maintenance and routine inspections on manufacturing equipment. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to identify root causes and implement corrective actions. Repair or replace defective components, parts, or systems to restore equipment functionality. Collaborate with the Maintenance Supervisor and team members to prioritize and schedule maintenance activities. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and parts inventory. Essential Skills 5+ years' experience as a maintenance technician. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems used in industrial equipment. Experience with PLC troubleshooting and understanding industrial schematics. Additional Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of solenoids, actuators, sensors, cylinders, conveyors, and motors.
