Hotel Chief Maintenance Engineer - College Station, TX

Lodging Host Hotel Corp is looking for a competent Maintenance Engineer to maintain our Hilton Garden Inn - College Station location. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of upkeep and/or repair of the location. An excellent maintenance engineer must be reliable and have a great eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have technical skills and general knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing etc. The goal is to ensure that facilities are in a good and safe condition at all times for our guests. Responsibilities Inspect facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property. Inspect and maintain building systems (heating, ventilation etc.) Monitor inventory of materials and equipment Participate in coordination of projects (e.g. renovations) Ensure adherence to brand quality standards and national, state, and local health and safety regulations. Skills Proven experience as maintenance engineer or similar role Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating etc.) Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations An eye for detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Professional Certifications (e.g. CMRP or HVAC certified) are a plus All active duty military, reservists, guardsmen, and veterans are encouraged to apply if qualified to fill this position.
