Job Title:
Maintenance Technician Job Description The Maintenance Technician will keep production and automated equipment operating reliably in a fast-paced injection molding environment. This role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and support continuous manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and automated equipment in an injection molding environment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues, including 3-phase power systems, to quickly resolve equipment malfunctions. Diagnose and repair mechanical components, including gears, bearings, and moving assemblies, to restore proper machine function. Maintain and service pneumatic and hydraulic systems, including identifying leaks, replacing components, and verifying proper operation. Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to accurately identify issues and implement effective repairs. Conduct root-cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency. Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used to maintain accurate equipment history and support future troubleshooting. Collaborate with production staff to understand equipment performance issues and prioritize maintenance tasks in a fast-paced setting. Support safe work practices by following all safety procedures and ensuring equipment is maintained in a safe operating condition. Essential Skills 1-3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in an injection molding environment. Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting, including working with 3-phase power systems. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience repairing production and automated equipment. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting pneumatic systems. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting hydraulic systems. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment. Comfort working with both automated and conventional production equipment. Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and engineering. Strong attention to detail and commitment to equipment reliability and uptime. Why Work Here? Work Environment This role operates in a fast-paced manufacturing facility with approximately 85 employees focused on injection molding production. You will work around automated and conventional production equipment and be regularly engaged with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Multiple shifts are available, offering flexibility in working hours. The environment is production-oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork, and responsiveness to equipment issues to keep operations running smoothly. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Carrollton, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $42.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
