Through requests of visitors and within the local community, The Vineyard at Florence expanded to include a hotel with luxurious lodging, restaurant, spa, as well as special events. Growth opportunities On-the-job training Relaxed atmosphere We are looking for a reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the maintenance and repair of our facilities and equipment. This includes inspecting and troubleshooting mechanical systems, performing preventative maintenance, repairing broken equipment, general maintenance and responding to emergency maintenance requests. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance:
Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs of hotel facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces as directed by
Chief Engineer General Repairs:
Perform repairs to mechanical systems and hotel property as needed
Carpentry and Painting:
Conduct repairs to furniture, doors, windows, and other wooden fixtures. Perform painting tasks as needed to maintain a fresh and appealing appearance.
Guest Requests:
Respond to guest requests for maintenance assistance promptly and professionally. Resolve issues efficiently to enhance guest satisfaction.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with other departments, such as housekeeping and front desk, to address maintenance-related concerns that impact guest experiences. Assistance with furniture moving within the property
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, or related field is preferred. Familiarity with hand and power tools, as well as equipment used in maintenance tasks. Problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions. Attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Strong communication skills to interact with guests, colleagues, and external contractors. Physical fitness and stamina to perform manual tasks, lift heavy objects, and work in different weather conditions. Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols related to maintenance activities.
