Maintenance Technician

Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R systems, refrigeration units, and other mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance. Diagnose and repair appliances, air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and related mechanical components using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct equipment repairs promptly to minimize downtime, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues. Assist with installation, upgrades, and construction projects related to building systems and infrastructure. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and system performance logs. Lead small teams or coordinate with contractors during complex repairs or installations to ensure safety and efficiency. Follow safety protocols diligently while working with high-voltage systems or hazardous materials. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in appliance repair, HVAC/R systems, refrigeration, or mechanical maintenance. Ability to read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints accurately. Mechanical knowledge of air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, HVAC components, and related equipment. Hands-on experience with equipment repair, troubleshooting electrical issues, and performing preventative maintenance. Construction or building maintenance experience is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide team members or contractors effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges. Relevant certifications in HVAC/R or refrigeration are highly desirable; prior service technician experience is essential.
