Facilities Maintenance Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Technician to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and production support areas. This role involves troubleshooting and repairing basic electrical systems, assisting with HVAC maintenance, performing mechanical repairs, and conducting plumbing repairs. The ideal candidate will also support facility projects and complete work orders efficiently and safely. Responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on building systems, equipment, and production support areas. Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical systems, including lighting, outlets, switches, and breakers. Assist with HVAC maintenance, including filter changes, belt replacements, and basic troubleshooting. Perform mechanical repairs on facility equipment such as conveyors, dock doors, and material handling systems. Conduct plumbing repairs, including leaks, fixture replacements, and drain clearing. Complete work orders in a timely and safe manner using a CMMS or work request system. Support facility projects such as office reconfigurations, racking installs, and workstation moves. Perform general building maintenance, including drywall repair, painting, tile, doors, and hardware. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and site policies. Communicate issues clearly to senior technicians, supervisors, and operations leadership. Maintain a clean, organized maintenance shop and work areas. Perform general facility upkeep such as: Removing trash and recycling Light cleaning tasks and workspace organization Install and mount basic equipment: Mounting TVs and monitors Installing whiteboards, cork boards, shelving, and signage Assist with simple repairs or adjustments to office fixtures and equipment Conduct routine walkthroughs of the facility to identify minor issues or needs Help move, reposition, or assemble office furniture and equipment Support the facilities or operations team with miscellaneous tasks as needed Essential Skills 1-3 years of facilities or industrial maintenance experience. Working knowledge of basic electrical systems, mechanical repairs, HVAC fundamentals, plumbing, and building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot problems and escalate when needed. Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse or repair environment. Ability to read basic blueprints, schematics, or manuals. Strong attention to safety and detail. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work at heights. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with using CMMS or work request systems. Hands-on experience in a high-volume electronics repair and distribution environment. Why Work Here? The role operates on the 1st shift, offering predictable hours and a structured schedule. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Haslet, TX 76052. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
