Job Description

FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/PRODUCTION

  • Factory Superintendent
JOB DESCRIPTION
Essential Functions
  • Repair and adjust equipment, machines, and defective components, replacing worn parts such as electrical and mechanical components or equipment in a grease manufacturing facility.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain AC/DC drives, fusing, PLC's, relay logic, heating and cooling equipment, motors, starters, lighting, general plant wiring and a variety of types of control devices (limit switches, counters, timers, blowers, lubrication, chilled water, and compressed air systems)
  • Perform preventive maintenance inspections and overhauls on production and process equipment.
  • Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility's equipment.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
  • Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
  • Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
  • Knowledge and utilization of Lock Out Tag Out. Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle items or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to fifty pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Work also requires some physical strain such as extended periods of standing and walking in production facility and lifting of moderately heavy items such as motors and production cases. Other physical demands include climbing stairs, crouching, and reaching.

  • This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Travel
  • No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience
  • 3+ years' experience repairing and maintaining manufacturing production equipment preferred/or
  • 2+ years education and completion of Maintenance Technician Training Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • OSHA-approved forklift certification
  • 4+ years of manufacturing experience: strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and industrial skills with some PLC experience
