Floor Tech & Porter

Cheyenne Medical Lodge is actively seeking a dual-role Floor Technician and Porter to manage floor care protocols and maintain high environmental standards across our 139-bed skilled nursing facility. This position focuses directly on floor maintenance operations, scheduling reliability, and efficient facility layout management. Full-Time, Day Shift (12pm-8pm), rotating weekend schedule

Responsibilities Operate heavy floor maintenance equipment including buffers, strippers, and auto-scrubbers. Execute scheduled floor care programs for vinyl composition tile, carpets, and hard surfaces. Clean and sanitize common areas, corridors, and resident rooms according to facility layout plans. Transport waste, linen, and recycling to designated disposal zones. Respond to immediate spill cleanups and environmental maintenance requests. Maintain equipment and chemical storage areas in compliance with safety standards. Atmosphere & Environment Cheyenne Medical Lodge operates a structured, 139-bed environment at 750 Hwy 352 in Mesquite. The facility layout requires a methodical approach to environmental services to ensure resident safety and floor durability. The operations team relies on consistent shift execution, clear communication, and predictable scheduling routines to keep the facility clean and compliant. Qualifications Prior experience operating commercial floor buffers and stripping equipment is required. Knowledge of safe chemical handling and institutional cleaning protocols. Ability to stand, walk, and lift equipment for the duration of an 8-hour shift. Must pass a criminal background check. Must be able to pass a drug screening.
