Job Description

We are looking for a
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN- SHIFT REPAIRMAN
to join our Midlothian, TX plant. As a Maintenance Technician with Quikrete Heavy Construction Materials you will be performing maintenance on equipment necessary for the manufacturing of cement Why apply? Competitive wages. Opportunities for overtime.

Role Responsibilities:
Inspect plant process machinery and provide recommendations for repair. Install & repair plant process machinery. Operate equipment such as boom lifts, cranes, forklifts, and other related mobile equipment. Must be able to work rotating shift schedule.
About You We Require :
High school diploma or equivalent. Prior experience in the maintenance of heavy process machinery, in the cement industry, is preferred. Ability to read, write and verbally communicate in the English language. Must be able to read & understand operations and maintenance manuals, drawings, and schematics. Must place their personal safety and others safety as no. 1 priority. Must be able to utilize various measuring devices (micrometers, square, level, etc.). Must be able to exhibit competence in shielded arc welding & flame cutting. Must be able to read gauges & keep accurate records of operating procedures and maintenance history. Must have knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems. Ability to repair and rebuild plant equipment with little or no supervision. Knowledgeable of MSHA standards and requirements. Knowledge of hazards associated with areas of responsibility. Must be able to work in all weather conditions. Must have the ability to sit, stand, stoop, and bend for extended periods of time (up to 12 hours). About Us Each day brings new challenges, and we make sure you are prepared for it all.
