Job Title:
Maintenance Technician (Apartment Community) Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for the general maintenance, repair, and turnover (make-ready) of apartment units to ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for residents. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in multiple maintenance trades and be available for emergency after-hours calls. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs of apartment units and property grounds Diagnose and repair gas appliances, HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and fixtures Complete make-ready preparations for vacant units, including repairs, cleaning coordination, and inspections Handle work orders in a timely and professional manner Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulations Maintain tools, equipment, and maintenance areas in good condition Respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls on a rotating or assigned on-call schedule Qualifications Previous experience in apartment maintenance or a related field required Working knowledge of: HVAC systems Plumbing and plumbing fixtures Electrical systems Gas appliances Ability to troubleshoot and perform repairs independently Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical work as needed Compensation Pay is based on experience and skill level Work Schedule Full-time position Must be available for on-call/emergency after-hours work
