Altus Management Group is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team at a vintage multifamily community in Odessa, TX. This is a role for someone who brings a strong work ethic, takes pride in their craft, and treats every resident request with urgency and professionalism. ABOUT THE COMMUNITY

You will be based at a vintage-style multifamily community in Odessa, TX. These are communities with character and history — and they call for a technician who matches that with consistent quality, technical depth, and genuine ownership of every unit and common area they are responsible for.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Electrical & Appliances Diagnose and repair electrical fixtures, switches, and circuits Service and repair appliances including HVAC units, refrigerators, and ranges Ensure all electrical work meets safety codes and community standards Plumbing Repair and replace faucets, toilets, valves, and supply lines Identify and resolve leaks, clogs, and drainage issues promptly Coordinate with vendors for work that falls outside of scope when needed Carpentry & Painting Perform rough and finish carpentry repairs on doors, trim, and cabinetry Complete interior and exterior painting to community presentation standards Patch, texture, and finish drywall repairs as needed Curb Appeal & Grounds Maintain landscaping, irrigation systems, and exterior grounds Keep all common areas clean including hallways, laundry rooms, restrooms, and the leasing office Conduct regular property walks to identify and address issues proactively Unit Turns & Inspections Complete vacant unit turns within 3 to 6 days of resident move-out Assist with move-in, move-out, and annual unit inspections Ensure every unit is rent-ready, fully functional, and move-in ready Team & Inventory Maintain accurate inventory of all tools, equipment, and supplies Collaborate daily with the Property Manager and Maintenance Supervisor Bring a solutions mindset — identify problems and act before they become larger issues

WHAT YOU BRING

5 or more years of maintenance experience, preferably in property management Strong electrical knowledge including appliances, circuits, and fixtures Extensive plumbing experience ranging from minor repairs to full replacements Rough and finish carpentry skills with painting experience Familiarity with landscape maintenance and irrigation systems Ability to lift 75 pounds and safely work from ladders Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation Strong written and verbal communication skills Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset — you bring answers, not just problems Basic computer skills for work order management and communication
