Sunbelt Material Handling is an employee-owned company committed to providing our clients with the best sales and service experience. Headquartered in Dallas, we operate six locations strategically positioned to serve customers across Texas and Oklahoma. Our Dallas location supports all of North Texas, including the entire Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Preventive Maintenance Technician to support the service of material handling and industrial equipment at customer locations. This role is well suited for individuals with a solid mechanical foundation who are looking to build technical skills through hands-on training and real‑world experience.

While this position is considered entry-level, it requires professionalism, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to follow procedures accurately. Training and advancement opportunities are provided. Equipment You'll Support Forklifts and warehouse equipment Electric pallet jacks and stackers Industrial batteries and chargers Dock equipment Sweepers and scrubbers Key Responsibilities Perform scheduled preventive maintenance services in accordance with established standards Conduct detailed safety inspections and document findings Change fluids, filters, and perform lubrication services Inspect brakes, chains, hydraulics, tires, and electrical components Identify wear, damage, or developing issues and report them appropriately Accurately complete digital service reports and checklists Maintain assigned service vehicle, tools, and PM inventory Perform other duties as assigned based on operational and business needs This role does not require major diagnostic repairs; however, attention to detail and sound mechanical judgment are expected. Required Qualifications Demonstrated mechanical aptitude or hands-on mechanical experience Comfortable using basic hand tools and inspection equipment Ability to follow written procedures and service checklists Strong organizational and time management skills Professional communication and customer awareness Clean driving record Ability to work independently once trained Training & Career Development We provide structured onboarding, hands-on training, and ongoing technical development.
