General Manager Position Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, andpreventative maintenance on company facilities, equipment, and grounds. The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and general maintenance procedures while maintaining a safe and professional work environment
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs. Complete general repairs including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs. Troubleshoot and repair maintenance issues in a timely manner. Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and building systems. Maintain grounds, walkways, parking areas, and common areas as assigned. Replace light bulbs, filters, fixtures, and other building components. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations. Operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely. Maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment. Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures. Keep accurate records of completed maintenance work. Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general maintenance repairs. Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Reliable transportation and dependable attendance. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
Previous maintenance, facilities, apartment, hotel, manufacturing, or building maintenance experience. HVAC certification or maintenance certifications are a plus but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods. Ability to safely operate maintenance equipment and tools.
Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor work environments. Exposure to varying temperatures and weather conditions. Occasional after-hours or emergency maintenance calls may be required.
