This role offers comprehensive training to develop your skills in garage door installation, repair, and maintenance. As a vital member of our service team, you will work on residential properties, ensuring safe, reliable, and high-quality garage door solutions. The ideal candidate is motivated to learn, possesses a strong work ethic, and is eager to grow within the construction and home improvement industry. All positions are paid, including training periods, emphasizing our commitment to supporting your professional development from day one. Duties Assist with the installation of residential garage doors. Perform repairs and routine maintenance on existing garage doors and openers. Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for various tasks such as door hanging, fabrication, and fixture installation. Conduct heavy lifting of garage doors, components, and related equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Apply sales techniques to reach the company goal. Apply mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting issues with door systems and openers. Install ancillary components such as locks, fixtures, trim carpentry elements, and electrical wiring where applicable. Maintain a clean and organized work environment on construction sites or customer locations. Follow safety guidelines diligently to prevent accidents during all phases of work. Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and to high standards. Engage in ongoing training to expand skills in locksmithing, remodeling, electrical work, or other related trades. Skills Sales experience is preferred. Proficiency with hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers), power tools (drills, saws), and metal fabrication equipment. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily tasks. Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics for accurate project execution. Mechanical aptitude with an understanding of garage door systems and electrical components. Construction site experience or background in general construction enhances your suitability. Skills in caulking, fixture installation, locksmithing techniques, or electrical wiring are beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical diagrams and schematics. Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer interactions.
