Job Description

Position Title:
Maintenance Technician Wage:
$28-$30/hour Depends on experience
Shift:
12-Hour (Day, Night) + Weekend on-call rotation
Hours:
6:00am-6:30pm, 6:00pm-6:30am A well-established food manufacturing facility in the Houston/Stafford area is seeking a Maintenance Technician with strong electrical experience. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production and facility equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safe, efficient operations. This is a direct hire opportunity offering long-term stability in a manufacturing environment. Maintenance Technician Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and electronic maintenance on production equipment Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including 115V & 220V single phase; 208V, 230V, and 480V three-phase Execute preventive maintenance and recommend schedule improvements Respond to emergency and unscheduled equipment repairs to minimize downtime Install, maintain, and repair electrical controls, wiring, and lighting systems Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation Follow OSHA, GMP, and food safety standards Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Support the Maintenance Manager with maintenance department activities
Maintenance Technician Requirements:
High school diploma or GED 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong electrical troubleshooting experience (required) General mechanical troubleshooting skills Ability to lift/push up to 100 pounds Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel Availability to work 12-hour shifts, including nights and weekend on-call rotation Food manufacturing experience preferred Maintenance license or technical certifications preferred Experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, pumps, and HVAC preferred Welding, machining, or metal fabrication experience preferred Forklift or lift truck experience preferred
