The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of manufacturing equipment and facility systems to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime. This role plays a vital part in maintaining safety, quality, and productivity in the plant by performing preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery, infrastructure, and utilities. Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment, tools, and facility systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems on manufacturing machinery.
Conduct inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues and
schedule timely repairs.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation.
Support the installation, relocation, and setup of new or existing machinery and equipment.
Collaborate with production and safety teams to improve equipment performance and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Monitor and respond to facility-related maintenance issues including lighting, plumbing, and general building repairs.
Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards and regulations.
Order and manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies as needed.
Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and equipment improvement initiatives.
Participate in on-call or emergency maintenance coverage as required. Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or associate degree in industrial maintenance or a related field preferred.
Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Ability to read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting and basic programming is a plus.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, meters, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in confined spaces, and stand/walk for extended periods. Work Environment:
Manufacturing plant setting with exposure to noise, machinery, moving equipment, and temperature fluctuations.
May require occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call duty during plant shutdowns or emergencies.
