Job Description

Job Announcement:
The City of Webster's Public Works Department is accepting applications for the position of Building Maintenance Technician. The purpose of this position is to maintain all City buildings and facilities. This is accomplished by ensuring City buildings and facilities meet acceptable standards of safety, comfort, and appearance. Other duties may include providing general repair services, maintaining air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and lighting equipment, assisting in construction projects, making electrical repairs, and interfacing with other City employees and citizens. This position does not provide direction to other employees.
Benefits Include:

Starting Salary range:
$20.508 - $22.086, depending on experience/qualifications Conditional employment offers are contingent upon satisfactory results of a drug screening, physical, and background check.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License Preferred certifications in HVAC, plumbing, and/or electrical. Preferred universal freon recovery certification
Special Requirements:
This is an essential service position. Employees in essential services positions will be required to provide services in the course and scope of their employment for the benefit of the general public during emergency situations that threaten the safety of Webster's citizens per the City's Emergency Services Guidelines.
