Job Description

Position Overview California Pools Utah is seeking a skilled Pool Equipment Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and install residential pool and spa equipment. This role focuses on heaters, pumps, automation systems, salt systems, valves, and electrical components—not routine cleaning service. We are looking for someone dependable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in the field while representing the company professionally with customers. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair pool/spa equipment issues Service heaters, pumps, filters, salt systems, and automation controls Troubleshoot electrical and plumbing-related equipment problems Replace actuators, sensors, IntelliValves, and automation components Perform warranty evaluations and submit documentation Verify proper system operation before leaving job sites Document service notes and photos clearly Communicate repair recommendations with customers and office staff Maintain service vehicle organization and inventory Preferred Qualifications 2+ years pool equipment service experience (preferred) Experience with Pentair automation, heaters, and IntelliCenter systems Strong troubleshooting skills (mechanical + electrical) Ability to read wiring diagrams and equipment schematics Valid driver's license with clean record Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
