Wasatch Labs Key Responsibilities Equipment Cleaning & Sanitation Perform cleaning, disassembly, and reassembly of filling and packaging equipment Execute sanitation of equipment and production lines in compliance with GMP standards Ensure all cleaning activities are documented per SOP requirements Equipment Setup & Operation Set up and adjust packaging equipment, including: Coding devices Heat tunnels L-sealers Steam tunnels Induction sealers Set up and support filling equipment, including: Tube fillers Rotary fillers Positive displacement (PD) fillers Hot fill systems Maintenance & Troubleshooting Perform routine maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment Identify and troubleshoot mechanical issues; escalate complex repairs as needed Support preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime Production & Material Handling Support Transfer bulk product into designated holding containers following SOPs Operate warehouse equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and in compliance with company policy Assist with line changeovers and startup activities Compliance & Documentation Follow all GMP, safety, and company policies Accurately complete required documentation (logs, checklists, batch records) Maintain a clean and organized work environment Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, maintenance, or related field Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills Ability to follow SOPs and work in a GMP-regulated environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Preferred Experience in cosmetics, personal care, food, or pharmaceutical manufacturing Forklift certification (or ability to obtain) Experience with filling and packaging equipment listed above Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of GMP principles and sanitation standards Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and operational issues Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced production environment Ability to: Organize, maintenance operations and activities. Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members at work. Working Conditions Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving machinery, noise, and cleaning chemicals Requires standing, walking, lifting (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]), and repetitive motion May require overtime or flexible scheduling based on production needs Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
