Maintenance Technician Details:
Contract position $25.00 to $35.00 /hour Second Shift Responsible for performing a variety of skilled and semi-skilled duties to ensure the proper operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities, equipment, and systems. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical and general building maintenance principles. Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on facility infrastructure and production equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, including wiring, motors, controls, and lighting. Conduct general building maintenance tasks, including minor plumbing, HVAC system checks, carpentry, and painting. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and equipment breakdowns, minimizing downtime. Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively. Assist in the installation and set-up of new equipment. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory. Contribute to the overall cleanliness and upkeep of facilities, including performing light janitorial duties as needed. Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and procedures, including Lockout/Tagout. Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
Maintenance Technician Qualifications:
Formal training or certification in electrical trades, HVAC, or a related field. Experience with industrial equipment maintenance. Forklift certification. Proven experience in a maintenance role, demonstrating proficiency in various maintenance tasks. Strong electrical troubleshooting and repair skills. Proficiency in general building maintenance, including minor plumbing, carpentry, and HVAC basic knowledge. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints and wiring diagrams.
