Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, fabrication and general maintenance, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair various mechanical and electrical systems. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of Sufco Mine, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities to ensure optimal functionality. Fabricate parts as needed for repairs or modifications. Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to diagnose issues effectively. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential problems before they escalate. Maintain accurate records of maintenance work performed, including parts used and time spent on tasks. Collaborate with team members to enhance operational efficiency and safety protocols. Provide leadership in troubleshooting complex mechanical or electrical issues. Experience Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge, with the ability to work with various tools and equipment. Proficient in welding and fabrication. Familiarity with electrical systems, including the use of an ohmmeter for testing purposes. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. Leadership skills are advantageous for guiding junior technicians or coordinating with other departments.
