Job Description

The Facilities Maintenance Tech 3 plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of facilities. All knowledge of facilities maintenance, including general plumbing, basic electrical, hvac diagnostics and repair, basic drywall repair and grounds up keep experience. This position is responsible for performing advanced maintenance tasks, troubleshooting issues. The ideal candidate will work with the Maintenance Supervisor and various team members to ensure that all facilities are operating efficiently and meet regulatory standards. Additionally, this role involves mentoring Techs 1 and 2, fostering a collaborative work environment. Ultimately, the Facilities Maintenance Tech 3 contributes to the overall success of ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and operational.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in facilities maintenance and/or construction. Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, as well as maintenance equipment. knowledge and professional experience in a construction environment. Manual dexterity and physical stamina
Valid Driver License Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing systems. Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
Responsibilities:
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility systems and equipment. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other issues in a timely manner. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies. Install appliances, equipment and assemble projects as needed. Provide guidance and support to Techs 1 and 2 as needed. Drive company vehicles for business purposes if needed. Perform other related duties and activities as required.

The required skills for this position include strong problem-solving abilities, which are essential for diagnosing and addressing maintenance issues effectively. Knowledge and professional experience in construction and building maintenance are utilized daily to ensure that all facilities are functioning optimally. Communication skills are vital for collaborating with team members and contractors, ensuring that everyone is informed on maintenance tasks. Additionally, leadership skills are important for mentoring less experienced staff and fostering a positive work environment. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of safety regulations, enhance the ability to maintain compliance and promote a safe workplace.
Work Status/Schedule:
Full-time, Monday through Friday (hours may vary with additional work hours as needed).
Salary:
$25.00-$28.00 (DOE) This position is subject to Native American/Alaskan Native preference. Indian Preference applies in accordance with P.L. and other applicable laws. Applicants claiming Indian Preference must submit documentation of enrollment in a federally recognized tribe.
Physical Requirements:
To comply with the Rehabilitation Act of 1973's essential physical, mental, and environmental requirements, employees must be able to successfully perform all functions of their job with minimal supervision.
