- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Microbiology if relevant
- Two years' work experience in the medical/clinical laboratory Additional Considerations
- Master's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Education
- Medical Laboratory Science National Certification (ASCP or AMT)
