Floor Technician Custodian

Responsibilities Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness throughout the facility. Conduct detailed floor care procedures such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and polishing to preserve the appearance of various flooring surfaces. Clean carpets thoroughly using appropriate carpet cleaning equipment and techniques to eliminate stains and dirt buildup. Ensure all janitorial supplies are stocked and properly stored, adhering to safety guidelines. Maintain high standards of environmental services by disinfecting high-touch areas and restrooms regularly. Follow established safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries. Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to ensure quick resolution and continuous facility safety. Experience Prior janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or institutional settings is highly preferred. Proven expertise in floor care techniques such as buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning is essential. Familiarity with environmental services standards and best practices for maintaining hygienic environments. Experience using commercial cleaning equipment including floor buffers, extractors, vacuums, and related tools. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow detailed cleaning procedures accurately. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality standards.
