Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty, safety, and functionality of our outdoor spaces, including lawns, gardens, and hardscape features. Your energy and dedication will help ensure our grounds remain pristine and inviting for members and visitors year-round. Responsibilities Perform lawn care tasks such as mowing, edging, fertilizing, and aerating to keep turf healthy and attractive. Conduct landscape maintenance including planting, pruning, shrubbery trimming, and flower bed upkeep. Operate hand tools, power tools, and landscaping equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain hardscape features like pathways, patios, retaining walls, and other outdoor structures. Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues as needed. Assist with tree care activities such as trimming, pruning, or removal using appropriate equipment like chainsaws or excavators. Support snow plowing operations during winter months to keep pathways clear and safe for all users. Experience Prior experience in landscape maintenance or groundskeeping is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate. Mechanical knowledge related to landscaping equipment and power tools is highly desirable. Familiarity with lawn care techniques including mowing, fertilizing, aeration, and irrigation system management. Knowledge of horticulture principles and plant care best practices. Ability to operate machinery such as excavators or other construction equipment is a plus. Strong understanding of safety procedures when handling tools and heavy equipment. Enthusiasm for outdoor work with the physical stamina to perform manual tasks in various weather conditions.
